Chame collects nothing.

No account. No sign-up. No analytics. No advertising. No tracking of any kind. No data from this app is sent to its developer.

Your bookmarks, reading history and settings are stored only on your own device and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

One exception: recitation playback

The text of every poem is on your device, but the recitation audio is not — those mp3 files stay on Ganjoor's servers and are streamed from i.ganjoor.net when you play one. As with any internet request, Ganjoor's server sees your IP address and the ordinary request metadata (device type and time) at that moment. This happens only when you press play. If you never play a recitation, the app makes no network requests at all.

Why the app requests internet access

For that one purpose. The Android INTERNET permission exists solely to fetch recitation audio. i.ganjoor.net is the only host this app ever contacts.

Children

Chame is a general-audience app and is not directed at children. Because no data is collected, no data is collected from children either.

Changes to this policy

If anything here changes, the new version will appear at this same address and the date at the top will be updated.
